Well, I had another experience which I believe warranted a posting here. I hope this satisfies you crushing fans out there who are reading this. I live in an apartment building which has outside entrances to the hallways. They are very well lighted. When I came home the other night, I noticed some large flying insects hovering around the light at my entrance. They were wasps. I saw that they had built a nest on the overhang just next to the light fixture. Wonderful, I thought. Just what we need....stinging wasps at our front door. I immediately made plans to destroy that nest first thing the next morning. The next day, after dressing for work, I remembered the nest. So I got a yardstick out of my closet and a can of RAID that I keep, and I headed outside to the front entrance where the nest was. When I first saw the nest, there were no wasps flying around it. Great, I thought. I took the can of RAID and sprayed the hell out of the nest. Then when it was well saturated, I took the yardstick and began to hit the nest to try and knock it down. At that point, a big old wasp emerged and started flying around. I swatted at it with the yardstick, but it was too fast. I took the can of RAID and sprayed at it as it flew around, and finally it fell to the ground. I immediately stepped on it. I could feel it crack under my foot. I twisted it out under my shoe and then dragged my foot backward to reveal a wet smear filled with parts of what once was the insect. I was wearing my high heeled dress sandals with leather soles. I looked at the bottom of my shoe and there was a big wet mess. Now I was mad. I banged and scraped again at the nest until it finally fell. When it hit the ground, another wasp came out and started to crawl away. I stepped on him and crushed him good. I didn't notice two more wasps had emerged from the nest and were crawling along the ground. This presented me with a unique opportunity. I stepped on one with my right foot and the other with my left and twisted on both of them at the same time. They too were mashed out. Finally I decided I had to destroy the nest, so I stepped on it. It felt like a big paper wad under my shoe. I twisted and twisted my foot until I thought it was completely smashed, and when I lifted my foot, there was this big pile of ooze. I guess it was full of eggs or something. I had finally destroyed the nest and all of its occupants, present and future. Well, that's it folks until next time. If you have any great bug killing stories, please share them. That goes for other ladies or guys. I'll be watching. .
